How much does the glamp cost per night?
The cost is $410 NZD for a one night stay. This rate applies for any weekday, weekend day, or public holiday. There is no minimum night requirement for you to book. You can book as many or as few nights as you like! This price is for two adults. Up to two additional adults can also stay for an additional $30 per person.
How do I know if the day I want to stay is available?
Please head to our homepage (https://www.waitomoglamping.nz/) and click the “check in” option. A calendar will then pop up. Available dates will be shown. Those dates which are booked and therefore unavailable, will be crossed through.
When and how do I pay?
In order to ensure your booking is secured, payment is required at the time the booking is placed. You will have a variety of credit and debit card payment options available to you at the online checkout, including American Express. If you wish to pay with a bank deposit, please email us and we will make the booking over email.
How many people can stay?
Waitomo Hilltop Glamping has a maximum guest capacity of 4 adults. The queen bed is ideal for 2 adults. There is a sofa bed that converts into a queen bed, which offers room for another 2 adults. Please note that living and sleeping area of the tent is one large open space, therefore all people will be sleeping in the same room. Please refer to the photos if necessary.
Is there any additional charge for more people?
Yes there is an additional charge of $30 per person. The rate of $410 per night applies for two adults. A third or fourth adult will be an additional $30 each.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers. Each voucher is valid for one night’s stay and costs $410. Gift vouchers may be used for any available weekday, weekend day or public holiday. Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. To order one, please email or purchase one online here.
Can I bring my dog?
As Waitomo Hilltop Glamping is located on a working farm, we unfortunately cannot have dogs.
Are children allowed?
Due to the glampsite being on top of a very steep hill, and numerous other hazards, we are unable to accommodate children.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in is at 2pm and check out is 11am. You can check in later than 2pm however we recommend coming as early as possible to make the most of your stay.
Is food provided or do we bring our own?
You will need to bring your own food. A few basics will be provided for you, however we strongly suggest you stop at one of the supermarkets you will pass on the way to the site and pick up some food.
There is a Buschbeck wood fire BBQ and pizza oven, a gas hob, and a fire pit for you to cook over as you please. The kitchen is equipped with essential cookware and dinnerware. A chilly bin is situated in the kitchen and stocked with ice packs to keep your meat, dairy products and fresh produce crisp, fresh and cold.
For each night booked, you will receive the following farm fresh items are supplied:
4 organic eggs
750ml organic milk by Puhoi Valley
Fresh herbs from the herb garden ((basil, parsley, rosemary, mint, thyme chives and coriander)
1 loaf of fresh, homemade bread
1 s’mores kit (marshmallows and biscuits)
Tea (English Breakfast), sugar, instant and plunger coffee.
Condiments such as salt, pepper, oil and flour are in the kitchen.
Can we drive all the way to the Glamping site?
There is a 120 meter uphill walk from the carpark to the glampsite. We recommend you factor this in when packing your bags.
Where is the nearest medical centre?
If you have a minor medical incident, there is a first aid kit located in the drawer of the sofa bed.
For medical emergencies, please dial 111 and request an ambulance (there is cellphone reception and 4G at the glamp site).
The nearest medical centre is Te Kuiti Hospital located in Te Kuiti township.
How do I cancel my booking? Can I get a refund?
We offer a full refund if your booking is cancelled two weeks or more prior to your booking. Cancellations with less than two weeks notice will be 50% refunded. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded.

What do I do if something goes wrong or I can’t find what I need?
Glamping is the perfect opportunity to unplug and wind down from phones and computers, however we recommend that you still bring your mobile phone just in case. The site is in range for mobile and 4G reception, however the tent is not equipped with electricity to charge devices, so please ensure you conserve your battery in case of emergencies. You are welcome to message or call us at any time during your stay.
